What is your real name? Duran Harlan

How many aliases do you have and what are they?  The 3 alias' that I have are "Lovaboi," "Amourvocalist," and the infamous "Amour".

How old are you? 22

Where were you born? St. Louis Missouri

When did you start doing music?  I started music when I was in the second grade and I heard over the P.A., "all students who are interested in joining the school choir please come to the Gymnasium."

Why did you decide to pursue a career in music? I think that it was in the 5th or 6th grade when I decided to pursue music as my career. But only in the 6th grade did I start taking it seriously, writing my own songs, helping others out with harmonies and lyrics. And still not until recently did I start helping to produce a track or 2.

What give you the motivation to write the way you do?  The thing that motivates me to write period is probably my life, things happen all around me to help me get a song or concept from the brain to the pad. Love life (or lack thereof), Fam, listening to other artists Cd's, Watching other artist video's. All these things motivate me to do me and do it better than I ever have before. Like Jay said I've always been kinda good and poetry so that's how most of my songs come out, all poetic and stuff.

Do you ever just set up a track and freestyle a verse? I never actually set up the track myself but, If I hear a track that like then I'll try and freestyle an R&B song to it.

Who do you most like working with?  Right now it's kind of a tie between Ld and ~Jay. But that's only because I haven't really worked with Ghost or O'Really as of yet.

Who's your favorite lyricist? Again it would have to be another tie between Ludacris, Method-man & Common.

Who's your favorite producer? Jazze Pha

What's your favorite album? Brian McKnight - U- Turn

What's your favorite song? Brian McKnight - Never felt this way

What other genres or artists from other genres have influence on you? Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder, Musiq, Eric Benet, Dave Hollister, Joe, Ludacris, 2Pac, Xzibit, The St. Lunatics, Outkast, G-Unit, Kanye West, Common, Twista Ect..............

What artists have you performed with? Nobody

What's your favorite Singing Style? R&B, (Blues)

What's your favorite song from Things Have Changed? St. Louis

Favorite Song from The Backlash Mixtape?  That would be yet another tie between Another Level (remix), Still Poppin Trunks, and Tears

What projects are you currently working on? Jordan Jay presents....... The White Album/Musica Practica.

What is the best thing about making music on your own? That the music is coming from my heart and all the people in the world will get to here how I feel about certain things. And also let people in on my journey through life.

What do you hope to accomplish in the industry?  I hope to somehow change music and maybe teach someone in the business how to do something's they are having trouble with.

What is it like in the industry, I mean having anything you need at your disposal?  So far as of right now I wouldn't consider myself in the industry yet. But as of so far the music end of things right now is going very well. I Love making music because 30 years from now people are going to be reminiscing to songs that they may have heard me sing, the y may have made babies to, and maybe even gotten married to.

Have you ever wanted to put someone on track with you, is it hard to get them on track with you?  I want to put a lot of people on tracks with me and in the camp I'm in right now, they are all really into this music thing right now and it's the easiest thing in the world to ask them to put somethin' on a track with you.

Who do you hope to work with in the future? Brian McKnight, Jadakiss, Lil Wayne, Mario, Omarion, Ludacris, Xzibit, Joe, Musiq, & Stevie Wonder just top name a few.

What would it take for you to get on one of my tracks or for me to get on one of yours? Time, a phone call, and a deal that we both agree on

What advice would you give to those just now trying to get into the industry? I would say that no matter what n-e body else tells you, you always have some place in this industry if not in the foreground maybe in the background then.

Anything else you want to say? (Shout-outs, quote, etc): God first and foremost for giving me the gift of vocals. Shout out to the Fam ( ~Jay, GhOsT and  O'Really) The immediate Fam( my real family), All the fans. Oh yeah and the Jello for making this happen. And if I had a brain fart and forgot your name and or category print this out put your name or category right here _________________________ and email it back to me at Amour@3beonline.com and I'll make sure to get you on the next time.
